Arrive at Bhubaneswar and visit the The Tribal Research Center and Museum to get a brief knowledge of the tribes in Odisha and their crafts. Also visit Lingaraj Temple if time permits. Evening board train for Raygada District where population consists mainly of tribes, primarily the Khonds and the Soras. Night journey.
Arrive at Rayagada Railway station and proceed to hotel. After freshen up proceed for excursion tour. In first half visit Majhighariani Temple and Chatikona Village; surrounded by a series of valleys and wooded hills of varying colors. The place is a center of pilgrimage for the temple of Lord Shiva. It offers picnickers gorgeous view of the waterfall. The Dongaria Kondha of Chatikona represent the primitive section of the tribe. Later proceed to Minajhola en-route halting at Maa Markama Temple. Arrive at Minajhola; a beauty spot of nature with Shiva temple at the confluence of three rivers. It is situated in the heart of dense forest, rich in wildlife. Sivaratri is a popular festival of this place. Though there is no good all-weather road yet, the place is worth visiting. BY night back to Rayagada. Overnight stay at hotel.
Post breakfast checkout and proceed to Jeypore. En-route we will stop at the interesting colorful weekly market of Dongria Kondh tribes. The Kondh are one of most primitive tribe and they live in the high gradients of the Niyamagiri hills. These main livelihood of Kondh depend on horticulture. They grow a number of fruits like orange, pineapple, banana etc. The male people are using earring, nose-ring & keep their hair as woman. Arrive at Jeypore and visit Bagara Waterfalls, Kolab Hydro Electric power reservoir and Botanical Garden, Gupteswar Temple, Shakti Waterfalls and Jeypore Palace. By night check in hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Post breakfast checkout and visit the weekly market of Dungurai tribes where they come down the hills to sale their horticultural products and in return they buy their weekly needs of dry fishes or cloths etc. Later proceed to Bentalbiri near Koraput and stay at Desia rural tourism camp. Evening free for walking tour of villages. Overnight stay at camp.
Post breakfast visit to the most interesting Bonda tribal market at Onukudelli where they come all the way to sale their home made country alcohol. In this market you will also meet interesting Gadaba, Paroja, Didayi and Mali tribes who come to this market to buy their weekly needs or to share a drink from the palm tree. Visit the spectacular Duduma Waterfall and back to Desia camp to learn about tribal crafts. Overnight stay at camp.
Post breakfast proceed for hike for half a day to visit nearby Gadaba, Paroja, and Mali Tribal villages to learn their culture and cuisine. By late noon back to Camp. In the evening enjoy the Dhemsa dance by the host community and you may join to match your steps with the tunes of the local drum and flute. Overnight stay at camp.
Post breakfast time free to visit market area for some shopping. By noon checkout and proceed to Koraput Railway Station. On arrival take drop at Koraput Railway Station. Board train for Bhubaneswar. Overnight journey.
Arrive at Bhubaneswar Railway Station and wait for your connecting train to your home town or transfer to Airport for your flight journey to back home.
