Post Breakfast proceed to the wettest place on the earth that is Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee is amazingly adorned with its rolling hills, stunning waterfalls and the panoramic views of Bangladesh and the amazing Root Bridges. On arrival visit the popular places such as Duwan Sing Syiem Bridge, Mawkdok Dympep Valley, Ram Krishna Mission, Seven Sister’s water fall or Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave and Ka Khoh Ramhah. On the way back to Shillong visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong; once rewarded as Asia’s cleanest village. Get mesmerized by visiting Tree House, Single Living Root Bridge, Sky View Point, Balancing rock, Bophill Water Falls, Umngot River and and Dawki Hanging Bridge. After Breakfast check out from the hotel and visit Wards lake, Lady Hydari Park and Don Bosco Museum. Later proceed to Nameri / Bhalukpong. On arrival check in Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Early Morning River rafting on Jia Bhorolee river at own cost. After breakfast transfer to Dirang. On the way visit Tipi, an orchidarium with over 7500 orchids at Tippi Village. On display are some of the finest species with names like the Dainty Lady's Slipper or the more formal sounding Dendrobium. Arunachal Pradesh has the largest range of orchids in the country. Later continue journey and do not forget to keep your cameras handy as you cross beautiful waterfalls and get some spectacular views. Arrive at Dirang and check in to your hotel. After some rest visit the regional apple Nursery, Kiwi Farm, Dzong (fort), Hot Water Spring etc. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast transfer to Tawang. On the way visit War Cemetery. Continue with the drive till you reach Sela Pass at an altitude of 4114 Mtr / 13494 Ft. It is famous for high altitude lakes & scenic beauty & is ideal for ice skating during winter. On arrival at Tawang check in hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast in first half visit Madhuri Lake & Bum La Pass (China Border) subject to army permission. It can be arranged at additional cost. In second half visit Tawang Monastery, The famous Galden Namgyal Lhatse, popularly known as Tawang Monastery was founded during the 17th century by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso who is considered as a contemporary of the 5th Dalai Lama. It is Asia’s second largest monastery and India’s largest which controls 17 Gompas in the region. The monastery has a three-storied assembly hall and 28 ft high golden statue of Lord Buddha. There is also a big library which has an impressive collection of ancient books and manuscripts. The famous Buddhist gold inscribed scriptures Kangyur and Tangyur are preserved here. Bhramadungchung ani gompa, Urgelling monastery – birth place of 6th Dalai Lama and War Tawang War memorial and evening enjoy the shopping at local market of Tawang. Overnight stay at hotel.
After Breakfast checkout and transfer to Bomdila. Check in the hotel on arrival. After lunch visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa), Bomdila View Point. Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow clad ranges. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay at hotel. Â
Check-out from the Hotel after an early breakfast and proceed to Kaziranga; one of the popular conservation centres for the protection of endangered one horned Rhino. Kaziranga was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 and home to approximately two-thirds of World total population of one horned Rhino. In the year 2006, Kaziranga earned another star and was further declared as a Tiger Reserve due to the significant population of tigers in the reserve. Apart from these endangered species, the park also possesses large number of elephants, wild buffalo and swamp deer. Kaziranga has also been titled as an Important Bird Area by the Bird-life International for the conservation of Avifaunal species. Arrive at Kaziranga and check in hotel. Rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Early morning explore Western Zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of elephant. Apart from world's endangered One-horned Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world's population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers anywhere. Kaziranga is also a bird watcher's paradise and home to some 500 species of birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla's Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here. We will return to the resort for breakfast.
Post Breakfast depart for Touphema Village Resort run by Angami Naga village community via Kohima. On arrival check in resort. Enjoy cultural presentation by village folks. Overnight stay at Tourist Village.
After breakfast check out of the village resort and proceed to Kepfiizha (Kigwema village), Dimori Cove Guest house. This small but beautiful place is on the Kohima Imphal Highway, which we use as base for trekking up the Japfu Peak (3048 metre). Mt. Japfu is the home of the world's tallest rhododendron tree (20 metres high) and also for trekking to Dzukou Valley, the best trekking valley of North East India. Later visit nearby Angami village of Jakhama. Post village tour travel to Kohima. On arrival at Kohima visit The World War II Cemetery, nestled in the heart of Kohima town, where one of the fiercest battles was fought. On a huge stone slabs studded bronze plaques and inscribed with epitaphs, famous words are there to remind one of undoubting courage displayed by the war heroes in order to preserve the freedom of the future generation; "When you go home… Tell them of us and say For your Tomorrow We gave our today". Also visit State Museum, located at Bayani hill Kohima. It gives you a peep into the various aspects of Naga Culture. It displays dioramas of the lifestyle of the Naga tribes. Artifacts, handlooms, Handicrafts, Tools and Implements, Gems and Jewellery, Coins and Ancient weaponry will give you an idea of the rich culture and heritage of the native people. After Breakfast visit Angami Tribal village of Khonoma, home village of father of Naga Nationalist movement "Angami Phizo". This village, located on top of a hillock has a pastoral beauty of its own. This was where the Last part of the Anglo Naga War was fought. By evening back to Kohima. Overnight stay at hotel.
Post breakfast checkout and proceed to Jorhat; the tea capital of Assam. On arrival at Jorhat, Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Early morning transfer to Nimati Ghat to take a ferry to Majuli, the biggest riverine island of Assam and probably Asia. On arrival check into your hotel home-stay, Visit the famous Satras in the evening to enjoy the Satra Culture. Overnight stay at home stay.
After breakfast, we will take a cycle tour to the missing village and explore the tribal culture of the village and the life of the people. After lunch visit the Vaishnava Dharma pilgrimage centre. Overnight stay at home stay.
In the morning further drive back to the ferry ghat and board on boat to the Mainland and transfer to Guwahati. On arrival check in hotel. In the evening set out on a River cruise to watch the sun go down the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast check out from hotel and visit Kamakhya Temple. Later drop to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your return journey.
