Arrive at Kushok Bakula airport Leh - 3500m above sea level. Transfer to hotel, Half Day at rest for acclimatization. By late noon proceed to visit Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace. Later in the evening walk around local market. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast proceed to Lamayuru. Enroute visit Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia). Later visit 1000 years old Alchi monastery; The only Gompa in Ladakh region on flat ground. Thereafter proceed to the Likir Monastrey to visit the splendid three storey's Dharma Wheel Gompa. Here you'll be awestruck with the sight of the massive Buddha statues. Later visit Indus & Zanskar river Sangam point. Drive along the Indus river visiting Pathar Sahib Gurdwara, Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity) amd Basgo Palace (Hiking only) . Arrive at Lamayuru by late noon and check in hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast proceed check out and visit Lamyuru Gompa; the oldest religious center of Ladakh situated on or near the Indus and is believed to have been the sacred site for the pre-Buddhist religion known as "Bon". Built in the 10th century, the monastery is spectacularly located on an eroded mass of rock below towering mountains. The Monastery here beats all others in sheer grandeur and in its uniqueness of wood carving. Later proceed top Leh. Arrive at Leh by noon and check in hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
After early breakfast drive to Nubra valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft) the world’s highest motor able road and gateway to Siachen Glacier. The views from the top of the pass are amazing. Visit Diskit Monastery founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo in 1420 A.D. Post lunch visit Hundar village (7kms from Deskit) and Double-Humped Bactrian Camel Safari in sand dunes between Hundar and Deskit villages. Overnight stay at camp.
Early Morning after breakfast leave for Pangong Lake; situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m) through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. via Wari La/Shyok Route. Pangong lake is a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometre at its widest point and over 130 km long. It is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists, though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Overnight stay at camp.
After Breakfast drive back to Leh. En-route visit Thiksey Monastery & Rancho School. Later Walk around Leh Market. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast drop at the airport.
