Arrive at Kushok Bakula airport Leh - 3500m above sea level. Transfer to hotel, Half Day at rest for acclimatization. By late noon proceed to visit Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace. Later in the evening walk around local market. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast leave for the full day sightseeing. Visit Indus & Zanskar river Sangam. Drive along the Indus river visiting, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity). Later visit Spituk Monastery (The site of Spituk was blessed by the Arhat Nyimagung) and Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia). Overnight stay at hotel.
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). Arrive at Hundur noon. Rest for sometime at camp. Later visi Deskit Monastery, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Overnight stay at camp
After Breakfast leave from Nubra Valley towards Turtuk Village. A remote village of about 4,000 residents, inhabited by ethnic Muslims, a few kilometres from the 'line of control' (the de facto border) between India and Pakistan on the Indian side. Until 1971 a part of Baltistan, shared strong economic and cultural ties with Tibet. The residents speak Baltistani,some Ladakhi and English. You will love isolated culture of village. Visit 16th century old Minarets and Mosques, the ruins of Pun Khar which is the the Royal House of the Yabgo dynasty, View K2 Peak's,Historic Polo Ground and Natural freezing point. By late evening back to Nubra Valley. Overnight stay at camp.
Early Morning after breakfast leave for Pangong Lake; situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m) through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. via Wari La/Shyok Route. Pangong lake is a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometre at its widest point and over 130 km long. It is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists, though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Overnight stay at camp.
Post early breakfast proceed to Hanle. Enroute stop at Chusul War Memorial. Hanle in changthang region of Ladakh is one of the most beautifully enchanting,calm and soul loosing places in India. Hanle has a lovely Hanle monastery offering some great aerial views of whole village that is a home of about 1000 people. Hanle monastery is a 17th century monastery of the Drukpa lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan buddhism. Monastery is home to about 60 monks. The main monastery, one of the largest and best known of Ladakh’s monasteries, was built under the protange of the kind Singee Namgyal. The views from the top of monastery are just breath taking. Hanle is also house an Indian astronomical observatory which is the world highest observatory in the world at a staggering height of 4500 mtrs. Overnight in guest house.
Post breakfast checkout and proceed to Tso Moriri (14000 Ft) via Nyoma-Mahe bridge. The Tso moriri Lake is breeding grounds for numerous species of birds. Chief among them are the bar headed goose, found in great numbers, crested grebe, The Brahmin duck (ruddy sheldrake) and the brown headed gull. The Lake is 8 Kms wide and 28 Kms long. Overnight stay at camp.
After Breakfast leave from Tso Moriri Lake towards to Leh via Mahe Bridge. Pass by Puga Sulphur Mine, Tsokar Lake and through Taglang La Pass (17585 ft) second highest motorable road in the world. En-route visit Thiksey Monasteries. Evening arrive at Leh check in. Overnight stay at Leh.
Morning after breakfast, transfer to airport board your flight towards Destination Covered, to enjoy yet again, a beautiful flight over the great Himalayas.
